WTC and the Ground Zero 9/11 revisited

Actually, the term ground zero describes the point on the Earth's surface closest to a detonation.

The World Trade Center site is now known as "Ground Zero" after the September 11 attacks in 2001.
First time I visited Ground Zero it was some months after this tragedy. Smell, dust and work to take away demolished houses and underground pipes, subway track was in progress. All the graves close to the church of  St. Paul were like grass between them covered by gray dust.
Some years later digging was finished and new houses started to grow.
Now the work under the surface can not be followed any more! Tuouriste also moved to a new spot in the area - The National September 11 Memorial which is a tribute of remembrance and honor to the nearly 3,000 people killed in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon, as well as the six people killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.

New 1 World Trade Center is not the tallest building in the world. It is not even the tallest in the United States.

One World Trade Center is, however, the tallest building between Vesey, Liberty, West and Church Streets. That may be what matters most. From Newark Airport, it is the tallet building pointing where Ground zero is.
